Italy is now becoming a hot spot for Corona Virus. At the moment more than 2,500 cases of the deadly virus have been reported in the country with 79 deaths. A group of 21 Italian tourists has been put under quarantine in India after 17 of them tested positive of the Virus.
To reduce the spread in the country, India is now restricting visitors from Iran, South Korea, Japan, and Italy from accessing the country except officials from international bodies and diplomats. In a tweet, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that:
“There is no need to panic. We need to work together, take small yet important measures to ensure self-protection. Had an extensive review regarding preparedness on the COVID-19 Novel Coronavirus. Different ministries & states are working together, from screening people arriving in India to providing prompt medical attention.”
Italy is now among the most affected countries after China and Japan. Worldwide there have been about 3,200 deaths with infections rising above 90,000.
