36 staff members of Tamale Hospital placed under quarantine

The Coronavirus in Ghana continues to spread with thirty-six health workers from Tamale Teaching Hospital have been placed under quarantine after coming into contact with two patients from Guinea who later tested positive for coronavirus. The two patients were admitted in a female ward of Tamale. Reports from the hospital indicate that the ward has been closed down for disinfection. All the patients from that ward have also been transferred to other wards and are closely been monitored.

Ghana currently has 152 cases of coronavirus with 5 deaths. This has led to a lockdown of the most affected areas. Currently, there is a lockdown in Accra, Kumasi, and Tema.
