Junior Achievement Ghana has appointed Abeiku Greene as the new Executive Director starting from 1st Aug 2020. JA Ghana is a branch of JA worldwide which is a huge NGO empowering young people. Before his appointment, he was working as the Programs Manager at the same organization.
JA Ghana Board Chairman John Armah noted that: “Abeiku has been well groomed for this position under the guidance and mentorship of the Ex JA Africa CEO, Elizabeth Bintliff, and the JA Ghana Board. He has shown exceptional leadership and growth and this vote of confidence showcases JA’s passion for organizational and personnel development and good corporate governance. Abeiku is astute and amiable and that winning combination will serve him well in this new role. The JA Ghana Board is excited for the future with Abeiku as ED.”
While responding to his appointment Abeiku Greene said: “I love JA. I have given my best to JA Ghana and received that affirmation back. It’s been a privilege to work with all our generous donors and partners in making more young Ghanaians financially literate and empowered to change the world by solving problems through entrepreneurship. My passion is resolute and remains the same even though my lenses may have changed. I’m confident in the team at JA Ghana and in our ever-growing partnerships that together, our impact will crystallize and grow.”
During his time as the Projects Manager at JA Ghana, he helped more than 2,500 students to be absorbed into the formal school system. Over the years he has also engaged the government and other stakeholders leading to massive partnerships that have helped many young people.
Abeiku is a graduate of the University of Cape Coast with a degree in Industrial Chemistry. He also holds a master’s degree in Development Management from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
