Akufo-Addo under 14-day self-isolation after COVID- 19 exposure

President Akuo-Addo has started a 14-day self-isolation after interacting with someone who tested positive for COVID-19. The president started his 14-day self-isolation on July 4th.

In a press statement, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah the information minister stated that: “On the advice of doctors, the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, is from today, July 4, 2020, taking a fourteen (14) day precautionary self- isolation measure in compliance with Covid-19 protocols. The President has elected to do so after at least one person within his close circle tested positive for Covid-19 today.”

The minister insisted that the president had however tested negative. He added that for the 14 days President Akufo-Addo would work from the Presidential Villa.
