An Ex-convict has revealed that his advice made the Judge reduce his sentence.

Richard Nyarko was sentenced to be in jail for 35 years in 1997. The Circuit court in Somaya sentenced the 47 years old man for assisting a policeman to steal a saloon car.

The man has been appealing his sentence for some time nevertheless, it’s been failing. Recently he had the sentence reduced by 10 years by the court of Appeal.

Speaking during an interview, the ex-convict revealed that he was at the age of 22 when he was convicted. He disclosed that he was helping a policeman to steal a car. According to him, the police officer took advantage of his respect toward him. Even though the police officer was going to steal a car he lied to Richard Nyarko to follow him to Somanya to sell his car.
