Health Minister Kwaku Agyeman Manu has said that the government is considering arresting and jailing anyone found not wearing a nose mask. He said that the government had opted to use legal means to reduce the spread of COVID-19. He continued to urge Ghanaians to abide by the measures provided by the government to stop the spread.
According to Manu: “We have been thinking about what next to do to enforce strict compliance of these basic guidelines. We are working on that and very soon, we will see the police arresting some of us who are becoming too recalcitrant and when you are jailed three months for not wearing a mask in public, probably, you will take a cue from that.”
