Asante Kotoko is requesting the hearts of oak to help them in fighting the football association in Ghana to increase the share of StarTimes broadcast money. The Asante already has a plan of petitioning the Ghana Football Association over their money of the StarTimes Tv Rights. Their desire is to get some assistance from the Hearts of Oaks in this fight.
Both Asante and Hearts of Oak are the largest teams in Ghana and they offer the largest content for coverages in the Ghana Premier League to Star-Times. Even though The StarTimes has paid USD10,000 to every premier league team, Kotoko thinks it’s unfair because most of their games are covered by the Chinese outlet.
According to Asante Kotoko, the Ghanaian football body should award them a lion’s share of the total amount because they offer more content for StarTimes compared to other teams in the League. Some reports indicate that the team is ready to block StarTimes from covering their games.
