As of today March 26, 2020, the total number of COVID-19 cases jumped from 68 to 132. The additional 54 cases were confirmed by the Ministry of Health. Most of the confirmed cases were Ghanaians who had traveled from other countries. Ghana has recorded only 3 deaths. The three are said to have had underlying medical conditions.
Citizens have been asking the Ghanaian president to order for total lockdown. However, the president indicated that all other options will have to be explored first before deciding on whether to lock the country down or not. At the moment all gatherings remain banned in the country.
