COVID-19 cases in Ghana rise to 408

The total positive cases of COVID-19 have risen from 378 to 408 in 24 hours in Ghana. Of the 408 cases, 115 are from mandatory quarantine while the rest are from routine surveillance. Of the 408, 4 have been treated and discharged, 8 have died while 396 are active cases.

To curb the spread of the infectious disease, several measures have been put in place which includes lockdown on areas termed as hotspots. The government through its agencies it’s carrying also contact tracing. People have also been advised to ensure social distancing.

COVID-19 has hit developed countries such as the US hard which in the past 24 hours recorded 2108 deaths.
