Actress Efia Odo has complained about the increasing cost of Cement across the whole country. According to statistics, one bag of cement was sold at GHc35.00 in 2019 but its current price has increased up to GHc50.00 to GHc53.00 in 2021.
Her Instagram caption read, “Cement was 32 cedis now it’s 50 cedis some places 54 cedis per bag. Everything is increasing except wages. The minimum wage is $1.90 a Day! #fixthecountry???ghana#fixthecountry.”
According to the people producing Cement, the prices of the raw materials have increased. The actress said that the prices of various products are increasing each day but the wages are still the same and the government has added more taxes on Ghanaian citizens.
