Medeama has been given up to 18th November 2020 to pay US$54,000 to Nathaniel Asamoah, their former striker, and US$15,000 to the Ghana FA. In case they will not adhere to this order, for every match they will play in the 2020/21 Premier League season, they will be deducted 3 points.

In 2015, is when Nathaniel got his transfer to the Moroccan side for US$ 150,000? Nevertheless, he ended the contract after 4 months.

On 28th October 2020, the Ghanaian FA Disciplinary Committee ruling decided to enforce an Appeals Committee decision. Their decision ordered Medeama to pay the striker 40% of his transfer sum to Raja Casablanca.

Medeama SC has been fined GH¢ 3,000 because of their failure to obey the earlier decision on 2nd August 2020. This fine should be paid on or before Friday, November 6, 2020.

Nathaniel Asamoah in his response also rejected Medeama’s decision to pay US$ 20,000 from the transfer fee to intermediaries Nana Yaw Amponsah (LLM, Sports Law & Practice) of PHAR Partnerships (now Chief Executive of Asante Kotoko) and Emmanuel E. Mensah (Pinnacle Sports Management).

If the Mauve and Yellows fail to pay the striker before 18th December 2020, they will not be able to get transfers both nationally and internationally for a period of 12 months.

”The Committee agrees with the player that only the 10% for the GFA should be deducted from the Transfer Fee since the Player was not a party to the Commission Agreement. The two parties to the Commission Agreement cannot and should not be allowed to make the financial burden of the player without his consent and concurrence. Given the choice, the player may object to the Intermediary or the fee, and hence it is too late in the day to introduce the player to such a financial burden which was not argued before the Player’s Status Committee nor Appeals Committee,” stated the Disciplinary Committee in their decision.
