by The Ghana HIT

A 49-year-old Ghanaian man who is a voodoo practitioner in Scotland is facing deportation for beating and injuring his wife. The man who was identified as Michael Yartey is currently in jail for 82 days and will be deported back to Ghana upon completion of his jail term.

Yartey was sponsored by his wife who is a doctor to stay in Scotland. The wife, Jessie Vanderpuije has since withdrawn the sponsorship after the assault. In a statement to the court: “The complainer is no longer willing to be his sponsor, so the grounds for him to remain in the UK will no longer exist and he is likely to be deported back to Ghana.”
