Ghanaian citizens living in Germany urged President Akufo-Addo to fix Ghana during his tour in Germany to meet the manufactures of the Pfizer vaccine. As the President walked out of his car in Infront of a plaza where he was attending the meeting, he met a group of Ghanaians shouting, “Nana fix the Country.”
In a viral video, some people were overheard chanting, “Nana, please fix the country; we beg you so that we can come back to the country.” Another Ghanaian said, “Why should we be begging for our rights all the time?”
Several youth campaigners started the ongoing #FixThecountry program on social media to protest the high levels of unemployment, problematic situations, and economic hardships in Ghana. The #FixThecountry movement has conducted several demonstrations, and the next one is scheduled to take place in September.
