The Accra Regional Police Command wishes to bring to the attention of the general public the upcoming demonstration by the “Nationwide Aggrieved Customers of Gold Coast Fund Management” on Tuesday, 15th October, 2019.

Following discussions with the organizers, the demonstration is scheduled to commence from Obra Spot – through the Kwame Nkrumah Avenue to Farisco Traffic Light towards TUC – through the High Street to Ministry of Finance and finally end at Jubilee House.

Motorists, commuters and residents are therefore advised to take note of these traffic arrangements and consider alternative roads/routes for easy movement.

The Police have made adequate plans to ensure safety and security of demonstrators and the general public, taking into account the traffic situation on intended routes. As a result, there will be no traffic diversion. However, Police will be present to ensure free flow of traffic when there is a temporary hold up.

Police caution persons who may want to take advantage of the intended demonstration to foment trouble to consider the implications of their actions because the Police will not hesitate  to deal with any acts that will have the tendency to undermine the peace and safety of persons and properties.

The general public is entreated to cooperate with the Police to ensure effective traffic management. Any inconvenience that these arrangements would cause are deeply regretted.
