Ghanaian popular member of parliament Kennedy Agyapong has donated 3000 face masks to fight COVID 19. Agyapong went on to urge the government not to wait for the situation to get out of hand. According to the lawmaker: “Since Ridge Hospital is one of the designated centers for COVID-19, it was in the right direction to donate the same.” His actions were praised by Dr. Emanuel Srofenyoh a medical director at the Ridge Hospital.
Ghana currently has 68 cases of COVID 19 with three deaths reported up to 25 March 2020. In the last three days, there has been a massive rise in the number of infections.
