Popular musical group Sauti Sol has released it’s first 2020 single.
The song going by the name Suzanna attracted many fans by hitting 1 million views within 2 days. According to the group, the single is part of their upcoming album which will be launched in May.
The songs talk about the lifestyle of many young African girls in foreign countries who are supported by sponsors living a fake lifestyle. The song goes on to advocate for decency and change in morals among the young people.
2020 is already starting out great for @sautiSol– In January they signed a record deal with Universal Music Group which is an influential Music Company.
About Sauti Sol
Sauti Sol is an Afro-pop band formed in 2005. The group was formed in Nairobi Kenya and has four members Bien-Aime Baraza, Willis Chimano, Savara Mudigi, and Polycarp Otieno.
They released their first Album called Mwanzo in 2008 and have since been one of the biggest boy bands in Africa. Their most popular Album was the Live and Die in Africa released in 2015. After the release, the group gave their fans a free 48-hour download as an early Christmas present.
In 2019 they released another album by the name Afrikan Source. In the album, they featured African popular artists such as Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, Patoranking, Bebe Cool, Nyashinski and Mi Casa.
Sauti Sol has been a very influential band in Kenya performing in some of the biggest events including performing form former American President Barrack Obama. The Award-winning group also launched their record label in 2018 called the Sol Generation. The record label has signed some notable names in the Kenyan music industry including Bensol and Kaskazini.
