Kissi Agyebeng says he is not able to end corruption.

by The Ghana HIT

Kissi Agyebeng has accepted that he cannot end corruption in Ghana. He promised to make the act extremely costly. “I am not naïve to assume that I am going to stop corruption. There’s no way I can stop corruption. God himself will not acclaim to that but, I am going to make corruption very costly to engage in,” Kissi said to his vetting committee.

Kissi Agyebeng will replace Martin Amidu who resigned in November 2020. According to section 13(8) of the office of the special prosecutor Act, 2017(Act 959), the president should appoint a competent person within six months. Martin said that the president was interfering with his work. Kissi will be the second special prosecutor, in case he succeeds.
