Korle Bu CEO tests positive for coronavirus

Korle Bu Teaching Hospital CEO Dr. Daniel Asare has tested positive for coronavirus. Reports reaching our newsroom indicate that the CEO has been out of the office for the past 10 days. In addition, all staff from his office have also gone into isolation. Dr. Asare has become the first CEO of a major hospital to test positive for the virus.

Other high ranking government officials who have tested positive for coronavirus include Keku Agyeman Manu the Minister for health and Lydia Dsane-Serby the CEO of the National Health Insurance Authority.

Dr. Ali Samba the current Medical Director at Korle Bu will remain the acting CEO until Asare is back.
