In an effort to remain prepared for the spread of the Virus Korle is constructing a treatment center that is expected to be complete in a month. This center will support the two existing ones at Ridge Hospital and Tema General Hospital. This new center will also be used as a treatment center for other infectious diseases.
Ghana has recorded 7 cases of the coronavirus and has traced 150 contacts up to date. In an effort to curb the spread the Ghanaian government banned all social gatherings, closed all schools and banned all sporting activities.
