Let us show maturity during the December elections – Dr Setorwu Kodzo Ofori

by The Ghana HIT

The mediator of the Global Evangelical Church (GEC), the Right Reverend Dr Setorwu Kodzo Ofori, has called on the citizenry to convey a high level of maturity in the forthcoming elections.

Dr Setorwu Kodzo stated that it was significant for every citizen of Ghana, mainly the politicians, to make sure that their actions and inactions take care of the prevailing peace in the country.

On Saturday the Rt Rev Dr Ofori stated this in a sermon at a burial service held for the late Mr Joseph Mliwomor Woanyah.

The deceased retired educationist was the father of Mr Makafui Woanyah, the Volta Regional Chairman of the ruling (NPP).

The mediator said peace would be attained through love and caring for one another, noting that “we’re called to visibly demonstrate love.”

He preached on the parable of the Good Samaritan in the Bible and requested all to consider everybody as neighbours and extend unlimited love to them, insisting that there would not be complete peace without love.

Rt Rev Dr Ofori said to one should to spread love and kindness and not hatred for him/her to invite divine favour, because “you don’t know the favour of God on that person you’re trying to harm and by so doing, you end up courting the anger of God.”

Dr Mahamudu Bawumia the Vice President, Dr Archibald Letsa, Volta Regional Minister and his Deputy, Municipal and District Chief Executives, Regional and Constituency Executives of the NPP attended the burial service and a host of other important persons.
