Nurses and Midwives in Ghana demand lockdown

The Ghanaian government has put in place several measures to stop the spread of coronavirus. However, nurses and midwives want to government to lock down the country to reduce the number of infections. The national PRO John Agbenyeavu has told the government that most hospitals cannot buy personal protective equipment. He is requesting the government to decentralize testing centers so that more people can be tested.

John Agbenyeavu went ahead to request people to work from home to reduce the chances of contraction.
He also urged nurses and midwives to ensure that they are well protected when handling the deadly virus cases.
