The Ghana Revenue Authority has announced that beginning from today, payment of taxes will be done online. The major aim of moving from analog to digital is to motivate taxpayers to honor their tax obligations and also ensure that they don’t evade taxes.
Besides, it will be easy to file returns and make payments at any time and anywhere via the digital platform. The commissioner-general has assured Ghanaians that Ghana Revenue Authority will move from analog to digital, “We are also working on matching our data with other agencies to obtain data on persons outside the tax net and follow up on same to get them registered for tax purposes.”
