Prophet Nicholas Osei, popularly known as Kumchacha has said that it is against God’s will to Marry a divorcee. The founder and leader of Heavens Gate ministry said that a divorcee should not think of marrying again.
While speaking during a panel discussion about divorce he said, ” 1 Corinthians 7:10 gave clear indication from Paul that any divorcee has no right to marry again. The Bible says that any divorcee who wishes to marry should go back to his former partner. You have no right to marry again after divorce till the end of the world.”
“Matthew 5:31-32 gives further explanation on the issue of marrying a divorcee. The Bible was clear, we don’t marry a lady who has divorced a man before, let me say a second-hand wife- we don’t marry such people again. The only thing that supports divorce is cheating- even with that, a woman or man has no right to marry again, it’s a sin.”
“I don’t support abuse in marriage. Yes, the Bible spoke against divorce which I support but I’m also against various forms of abuse. Report your partner if he threatens to divorce you but don’t divorce him or her, use the law.”
