Robbers have killed a pastor’s pregnant wife during a robbery in Ampatia New-Site in Kumasi. The robbery left the wife dead and their three-year-old daughter nursing wounds. The incident occurred on 20th June according to police. The woman identified as Juliana Adusei is said to have died at the scene. Police said that they are investigating the case and are asking the residents of the area to give information that may lead to the arrest of the three gang members.

The pastor said that the thieves invaded their home while they were asleep. He noted that they were four in the house, his, his wife, a relative, and their daughter. The family member noted that: “They were three young men, two wielding kitchen knives and the other holding a pistol. They pushed him inside his bedroom and demanded that he handed over all the monies he recently withdrew from the bank.”

The family member noted that the robbers were given $1,000 but were not satisfied and therefore went on to stab their daughter. He noted that: “The poor little girl started bleeding profusely and so the deceased, who could not withstand her daughter’s ordeal attempted to overpower the robbers but unfortunately, she was also knifed at her right neck. She fell unconscious and died minutes later.”

After the demonic act, the robbers fled the scene before the arrival of the police. The officers examined the body of the deceased before transferring it to Anokye Teaching Hospital. The area community residents said that there were many unresolved murder cases. The residents said if security is not improved in the area more cases are likely to be recorded. They said that they wanted enough police officers in the area. They added that a police station had been constructed but the officers had not been deployed.
