Samuel Okudzeto resigned from the appointment committee of the government on Tuesday, 30th March 2021. While addressing the speaker of parliament through a letter, the member of parliament for Tongu north consistently explained the reasons behind his resignation.
His letter read, ” after days of careful reflection and thoughtful consideration. I shall like to state the reasons for this difficult decision is both personal and on principle.”
The Tongu constituency MP requested the speaker of the parliament that his resignation will take immediate effect. Furthermore, he said that he won’t be able to attend the vetting of president Akufo-Addos’ nominee’s for deputy ministerial positions which are scheduled to take place soon.
