Ghanaian actress, Selly Galley is encouraging John Dumelo before the general elections. She hopes that John will emerge victorious in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Parliamentary seat.
According to Selly, if John wins this will prove Madam Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey and other individuals who do not believe in the competency of the Creative arts industry people. Madam Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey has previously said that a parliament is a serious place that is not meant for actors and actresses and thinks that they are famous.
While replying to Ayorkor through her Instagram page: “I am completely non-partisan but John! I pray that you win this seat and prove to the minister of foreign affairs, Madam Shirley, and alike thinkers that indeed, creative arts are an industry pregnant with ‘serious’ minds of great thoughts and doers of great deeds. Your victory shall serve as a clarion call to all echelons of powers, low or/high that indeed creative arts and it’s players have truly arrived and ready to step into the big shoes of power rather than been the perennial faces of endorsement.”
