The Parliament will conduct Online sittings as of Next week.

Alban Bagbin, the speaker of Parliament, has said that the parliament will be conducting online sittings beginning from next week. He said that only one-third of the total members will be in the Chamber, while the remaining two-third will follow and make contributions online.

“We are not going to allow this kind of sitting again. Members who follow the process from their offices will only come into the chamber when it’s their turn to debate,” Alban stated.

The speaker of the parliament, also disclosed that the chances of operating from the tent structure put up for President Nana Addo-Akufo inauguration are very high. According to Alban, this change aims at preventing the spread of Covid-19.
