UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson tests positive for COVID-19

Boris Johnson, the prime minister of the UK has tested positive for coronavirus. The prime minister is said to have developed mild symptoms before testing positive if the virus.

According to Boris:

“Over the last 24 hours, I have developed mild symptoms and tested positive for coronavirus. I am now self-isolating, but I will continue to lead the government’s response via video-conference as we fight this virus”.

UK’s health secretary Matt Hancock has also tested positive for the virus. The government has confirmed that the queen is in good health and has not contracted the virus. The total number of people who have died in the UK for coronavirus is now at 759.
