80% of Campaign Promises Fulfilled, NPP Claim

The Minister of Communications in Ghana, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful has announced that under the supervision of President Akufo-Addo, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has put into effect almost eighty percent of the promises it made during campaigns.

She believes that this is the reason why Ghana is recognized as one of the world’s fastest growing economies.

Thus, she urged the members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to persist preaching the “good works” of the government while the country prepares for the general elections of 2020. She mentioned on Friday “We can say on authority that about 80% of all the campaign pledges have been fulfilled.”

While addressing the public at the Oti Regional New Patriotic Party Women’s Wing Conference that was held at Nkwanta, Ursula emphasized that the government has positively impacted every household in the country directly or indirectly.

The Communication Minister, however, accentuated the commitment of the government to deliver on all of its electoral promises made in 2016. She also emphasized to persist enforcing policies that would ameliorate the living standard of all the citizens.

John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer for election 2020 has showed his discontent and consternation at the New Patriotic Party for declining about 60% of the recommendation of Emile Short Commission.

This is up from claims in July and August of 70% of targets fulfilled.
