John Mahama promises not to let Ghanaians down

by The Ghana HIT

Former Ghanaian president and current National Democratic Congress flag-bearer John Mahama has assured Ghanaians that he will not let them down once elected as president. Speaking out in Bolgatanga during a speak-out session the former president said that Ghana would receive the much-needed change.

Mahama stressed that:

“I promise you, I will also use my many years of experience and learning to work and I will use a renewed determination and sense of purpose to serve all Ghanaians to the best of my ability without exception.”

He added that there was a need for him to take over the presidency again so that he can save the citizens. He went on to highlight many issues that needed special attention and which would be a priority to him once elected.

“People ask me why I am running for office again after having served as president of Ghana. Perhaps your experience today answers that question. But let me answer that question, Ghana is in urgent need of a government that knows how to listen and is prepared to listen in order to serve and that is exactly what I promise you. “We cannot afford to have a government that continues to ignore the needs of the majority, the power is entirely in your hands and I urge you to think deeply about what you see here today. And for me, it re-confirms that, the people of Ghana know best and that the job of us politicians and leaders is to ensure that the will of the people is done.”

During the forum, John Mahama stressed that he would strictly follow his manifesto. The Forum was attended by the former chief of staff, Julius Debra, NDC Chairman Samuel Ofosu, Traditional rulers, journalists, queen mothers, traders, MPs, and many citizens. @JDMahama is facing stiff competition from the current President Akuffo-Addo.
