You will account for every life lost if you start violence – Politicians warned

by The Ghana HIT

The United Nations Eminent Peace Ambassador in Ghana, Bishop Dr. Sam Owusu, has warned politicians in Ghana planning to encourage the youth of this country to be involved in violence to terminate such a plan, before the December 7 elections.

Bishop Dr. Sam Owusu mentioned that all politicians who begin violence will account for every life that would be lost in the elections.

The citizens of Ghana are preparing to go to vote in December to elect a president and members of Parliament.

The participants including the National Peace Council have warned the politicians and the young people in Ghana to pass this test and emerge peacefully after the elections.

Bishop Dr. Sam Owusu said, adding his voice to calls for peace: “Every life is important and so nobody should shed blood to win polls.”

“Hard work can make you win the elections and not violence therefore there is no need to instigate the youth against each other to fight and kill for power.”

Besides, he said, “The youth must also not allow themselves to be used for violence. You are only giving somebody a job to do and so you don’t have to lose your life to do that.”
