The Breman Asikuma Police have arrested a couple in the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa District for intentionally burying their sickle cell child alive. The couple was following the guidelines of their pastor, who is currently hiding.
Reports indicated that the parents were always complaining about the health status of their child and they had a plan of killing him. According to the parents they received the child from the stream and they were giving back the boy to the Stream.
The two-year-old child was buried near the communities’ water source. The eyewitness disclosed that the wicked act was conducted on Friday night. He said that he saw the parents of the late child accompanied by a female pastor burying the child alive in a dug hole. After the suspects left, the eyewitness quickly went to confirm what he had seen only to find the child dead.
