Five Citizens from Burkina Faso arrested for entering Ghana without Documents.

On Sunday, January 17, 20121, five foreigners from Burkina Faso were arrested at the Ga Inland Checkpoint. All the foreigners were men between the age of 26 and 34. The foreigners said that they had come back to continue with their farming activities, they were interrupted due to the closure of boundaries in March 2020.

According to the Immigration Officials, the foreigners were trying to enter Ghana without the legal documents. While reporting the matter, the Public Relations Officer of Ghana Immigration Service said, “Preliminary investigations revealed that the migrants sneaked into Ghana through an Unapproved route around the Leo enclave bordering neighboring Burkina Faso.”
