The national security ministry has requested the ministry of health to stop the consumption of the Ataya green tea because it’s not complete for public consumption. While addressing the ministry of health via a letter, the ministry indicated that according to reports from the Burkinable sector of commerce the tea it is dangerous for human consumption.
According to them, the tea contains pesticide residue and therefore it is necessary to eliminate the product from the market. Albert Kan-Dapaah, Said that the ministry of health should come up with a strategy to prevent a large number of people from using the product. This tea is commonly consumed by the Zongo community and some people who stay in the northern region of Ghana
