Police officers have been dispatched to the Achimota Hospital in Accra to detain the youth who are threatening to attack the police officers. The tension between the police and the youth resulted from the death of a commercial motor rider.
Reports indicate that the youth arrived at the hospital accusing a police officer of causing the death of the commercial rider on Wednesday afternoon. The rider passed away after being knocked by a vehicle when a police officer was pulling him from the bike.
The officer was dragging the rider from his bike after he failed to stop when he ordered him to. The rider was reported dead on arrival at Achimota Hospital.
A clash between the police and annoyed Youth was witnessed at Achimota Hospital.
