Fella Makafui explains President Akufo-Addo’s COVID-19 Address Attire

by The Ghana HIT

Ghanaian president made his 6th address to the nation on the spread of COVID-19 in Ghana after the country saw a jump from 313 to 378 positive cases. During the address, the president subsidized some critical services such as the provision of electricity. He also extended lockdown in the major cities.

However, what captured the attention of Fela Makafui is the president’s dress code. According to Makafui the shirt worn by the head of state is called ‘W3 tua me ka nyinaa ama me’ which means cheap or everything has been reduced. On the other hand the trouser worn by the head of state is called ‘Ya tete so Sei..hu..’ which means I have cleared all your debts.

It was not clear whether Makafui was passing a positive comment or she was meant to criticize the head of state.
