President Akufo-Addo has hinted about Free Senior High School Education.

President Nana Akufo-Addo has revealed that his government is planning to come up with a free tertiary education policy. He said this during an International Education Summit conducted in London. The president said that the vision of free tertiary education has been proposed at the executive level and negotiations to achieve this are being carried out. On Thursday, July 29, 2021, Nana Akufo-Addo said that he is confident that Tertiary Education will be free to ensure that a larger number can access Education.


“For now, what has been put in place is a system where students where students at the tertiary level are provided loans while in school to help them cater for their needs, but we’re considering free Tertiary education too,” President nana noted.

Besides, the president said, “It’s one of the highest on the containment and we intend to ramp it up even more. The policy has reversed decades of exclusion, which denied, on average, one hundred thousand young men and women, annually, entry to senior high school education because of the poverty.”
