Gladson Awako says he wants to play for the national team.

Gladson Awako, a great midfielder from Accra has revealed that his goal for the season is to get a call up to the national team. Apart from being the captain of the side, he has also been in excellent form for the ‘Dade’ lads in the continuing season. Besides he is a former U-20 world cup winner.

He participated in the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League that was held at Accra Sports Stadium, Olympics scored 3 goals while their opponents (Legon Cities) did not score at all. “I want the team to secure a good place in the league and I hope to get a call up to any of the national teams,” He said this Speaking during an interview.

Regarding his great performance of the season, Awako said “I have been taking care of myself and now I am more disciplined as a player. When you are growing in the game, you get more experienced, and also discipline matters too.” Furthermore, he said that Great Olympics have been consistent due to their decision to remain with Annor Walker as head coach.

“In a team, there should always be consistent and it’s good Coach Annor Walker stayed because changing of coaches didn’t help us.”
In the Ghana Premier League, Great Olympics will be playing against Asante Kotoko in their next game.
