Pregnant Ghanaian nurse dies of COVID-19 in the UK

A 28-year-old Ghanaian nurse working in the UK has died after contracting coronavirus. The nurse identified as Mary Agyeiwaa Agyapong was working at the Luton& Dunstable Hospital. She diagnosed with the deadly virus on the 5th of April and was admitted to the same hospital.

Mary is said to have died after successful surgery to save her daughter. According to the medics, the daughter is alive and has so far not tested positive of the virus.

Reports indicate that her father had also died earlier of the same virus. Her colleagues at the Luton & Dunstable Hospital have held fundraising in her honor.
