The University of Cape Coast (UCC) has banned foreign travel of all its staff. The institution in a statement said the move was meant to prevent the contraction of Coronavirus. In addition, the university also suspended international conferences at the institution. This means that all exchange programs stay suspended for now. UCC also advised students to avoid shaking of hands and other forms of body contacts.
This comes a day after President Akuffo-Addo banned unnecessary travels out of Ghana by state officials. Ghana is yet to record a single case of the virus and therefore government institutions are only taking precautionary measures.
