Black Love the album by Sarkodie is out now.

Popular award-winning Ghanaian Rapper Sarkodie has launched his much-awaited album called “Black Love”. 

In the album which was launched in early 2020, he has featured popular artists such as Rudeboy, Efya, Stonebwoy, KiDi, Iddris Elba, Mr. Eazy, Sista Afia, and King Promise among others. The much-awaited album has 15 tracks and is currently doing very well in the charts.

Personal profile

Sarkodie whose real name is Michael Owusu Addo is a Ghanaian rapper from Tema. He was the fourth born and attended Tema Methodist Day Senior School before joining IPMC where he was awarded a degree in graphic design.

Sarkodie began his music career in a competition called Kasahare Level organized by Adom FM. It’s during the competition that he met his former manager Duncum Williams. Shortly after he met popular musicians Castro and Edem who introduced him to the established record producer Hammer of The Last Two.

Achievements

Sarkodie’s contribution to the Ghanaian and African music has earned him huge awards such as the Vodafone Ghana Music Award. He has also been ranked among the most influential Ghanaians by e.tv Ghana. His influence is evident on his social media platforms having an average of more than 2.5 million followers on all the three most popular social media platforms.

In entrepreneurship, he has a clothing line called Sark by Yas Clothing Line which he launched in 2013. He also has a foundation known as the Sarkodie Foundation, this foundation supports underprivileged children in Ghana.

Family Life

He had a private wedding in July 2018 marrying Tracy with whom they are blessed with a beautiful daughter Adalyn Owusu Addo.
