Kennedy Agyapong has helped raise over $400,000 to evacuate Ghanaians stranded in Lebanon. The Assin Central Member of Parliament mobilized over $200,000 to add to the $200,000 he had raised himself. He today presented a cheque of $200,000 to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration.

The Foreign Affairs Ministry said that there are over 700 Ghanaians stranded in Lebanon. The ministry has already had the first three batches of evacuation done and this donation is meant to help with the 4th and 5th batch. The ministry said that the government was going to cater for the cost of quarantine once those stranded arrive in Ghana.
