Parliament has approved a $35m loan from the World Bank to help Ghana fight the coronavirus pandemic. The loan fund is part of the $100m announced by the Ghanaian government as the amount needed to deal with the pandemic. The $35m is expected to be released under the rapid credit facility of the World Bank to help Ghana fight coronavirus.
The government is also said to have turned to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to help to raise the $100m. IMF released a statement that the Ghanaian government has requested them for a rapid credit facility to help in the fight against the pandemic.
