Coronavirus cases in Ghana hit 20,000

Ghana Health Services today 5th July 2020 updated that the country had recorded 697 coronavirus cases. This number took the total recorded cases to over 20,000. The number of deaths increased by five to hit 122. However, to the positive side, the total number of people who have recovered from the virus stands as 14,870. The current active cases stand at 5,093.

The most hit region remains Accra which has so far recorded 10,979 cases. It’s followed by the Ashanti region which has 4,244 and then the Western Region which has 1,729. Currently, the least affected region is the North Eastern Region which has only 8 cases.
